ABOUT

Birdman Records was started by music industry veteran David Katznelson to be the home for music that he loved.  Founded while Katznelson was still an A&R Vice President at Warner Bros Records, the label started by releasing records like Skip Spence’s MORE OAR, Tom Recchion’s CHAOTICA and SMILE FROM THE STREETS YOU HOLD by John Fusciante.  For over a decade Birdman Records released the greatest modern psychedelic and garage music as well as blues and the avant-garde.

Dormant for the last decade, Birdman Records has revved up again with the same curatorial ear as before, with a new record by the Detroit acid folk combo Seedsmen to the World as well as reissues of Otha Turner’s Everybody Hollerin’ Goat and Tom Recchion’s chaotica.
