Everybody Hollerin' Goat
Everybody Hollerin' Goat is the closest thing you will every be able to experience of one of the Goat Picnic's Otha Turner would throw yearly at his home in Senatobia, Mississippi. Recorded by Luther Dickinson during his time of studying and playing with Otha and his family, and released as Otha's debut record at 90 years old, these recordings celebrate the oldest living form of post-Colonial American music. And it is so much fun to dance to.
The new 2LP set contains a whole side of unreleased recordings that Luther found in his vault. They include performances by Otha and band, RL Boyce, Luther Dickinson and even call-outs from the DJ that used to play at every picnic. Be warned: this record inspires house rockin'.
